Thanks! Sometimes my relationship with goal setting is like Seinfeld's rental car reservations scene. I'm great at setting the goals, not so great at achieving the goals. But goals delayed are not goals denied. That's why restarting and recalibration for the timing of achievement is a good thing to do. Failure only comes from stopping.
Glad to have struck an inspiring nerve in you. The time between starting your book and finishing your book is hugely valuable. You have so many more experiences now then if you finished your book two years ago. I wrote the white paper report on my "7 Deadliest Communication Sins" in 2011; the book didn't come out until 2018. Those 7 years were not wasted, they were research and the data and anecdotal client experiences were so much deeper and fuller than if I had published the book in 2012.
Notice how you are seeing and speaking and coaching others differently now than 2 years ago. That's the added value the time will provide for your book to come out when you're ready for it to come out.
I am pleased to know that you are well enough to get back at it and able to make your trip as well!
Skip, You express yourself so clearly. And you are wonderful at goal setting! All my best, Robin

This was inspiring... I too need to get back on the horse. I've been working on my book for almost 2 years now! Can't wait to read your novel!
